Center consol will go from the fuel selector , and to the underside of instrument panel.

The vertical part is 12 cm wide.

It holds the b-buss for backup battery and the circuit breakers for emergency circuit for critical units as ECU, coil pack and fuel pumps.

Also a separate wired set of circuit breakers for optional units in the future.

Note; photo montage of how would be whit the Dynon instruments added.
I have at this point made a cover, fastening whit Velcro that is to easy remove when is able to order the HS34 and the autopilot AP74 later in the year.

Info about the center consol

Center consol was decided to make for some time ago, as I not want to redo any on the instrument panel. So what I need was the throttle, pitch, flaps knobs.. as well as some circuit breakers for the b-bat bus.

Some make a stripe under the all instrument panel for this type needs.. but I also wanted make ready for the 2 Dynon EFIS extenders..

So have made cut out for HS34, that give extra function ,and improved handling of my D-180 Flightdeck, and also. as Dynon now is prepare to deliver autopilot for a very reasonable price, that is in fact controlled of the all ready existing D-180 EFIS, I find it ws a good idea to make room for this module as well.

If put those unit in the instrument panel, I would need to redo it complete.
I find the center consol solution to be many benefits , and it blend in very nice I believe when is finish., also it makes the overall cockpit looks even more great I believe.

Center consol
Center consol is made in fiber glass.

I chose this material as it is stiff still to hold whit out any stiffeners at the back side, that would be if made in aluminum. (or would just have a tick alu plate off course also possible..., but this was also smooth to make the cut outs.. , squared cut-outs isn't the most fast to make in ticker alu sheets.. as it takes some work to filing it out..haha)

And even is maybe to many layers.. and un needed extra weight (grams), it was still not so heavy over all, as I cut away a lot of the plate where the Dynon instruments are to go.

The cover plate is only vinyl stiffed of some tick "paper" like material..:-)

and fastening whit Velcro at the back side.
