When looking back...would I have done any thing different in my
instrument panel ?
YES...:-)
I think I would have made custom hinges for the map boxes, so
getting a flushed front to the instrument panel.
Also I would have made the power distribution center behind the
instrument panel, and made the labeling on the panel instead.
But else.. I feel was ok solution, and suits my budget well.

Back side of panel |
I now will make almost all electric on the back side so
it follow the instrument panel if demounting it later.
Marking some plugs for connecting to electric for sensors,
lights etc.
Goal is to not fill in the in front room inside the
dashboard.
That gives some advantages:
1. get all instrument weight most back in aircraft.
2. make it easy to service.
3. Non need for inspections hole in the front of canopy skin.
